MONTAGUE RECREATION MEETING MINUTES 7/11/2011

Montague Day will be September 10th, 2011- Bands- "The Symphonics" and the "Don Carver Band were approved by the Township Committee for a cost of $700.00 Tent for Montague Day and the Classic Car Show on Septmeber for a cost of $900.00 has also been approved.

Discussion of Recreation Accounts.

Adult Softball- Sundays at 4pm (we may be changing the time)

Fall Soccer- Coach Rick Brahm and Devin Lyon have let me know that Fall Soccer will begin on September 17th, 2011. Cost to play will be $10.00 soccer shirt additional $10.00 if wanted.

Flag Football- New Sport Program- Will be ran by Coach Bob Sturges Also starting on September 17th for ages 5-7 . Cost will be $15.00

Montague Day Update- Carnival Rides cost $3500.00 for 6 hours need to get approval at Township Meeting on Sept. 12th, 2011. Cost will be $1.00 per ride if 10 tickets are sold get 2 free tickets.

Food will be handled by Recreation for both Montague Day and the Car Show- Cost for Montague Day will be $1000.00 Cost for Car Show will be $500.00 Recreation will be charging for food, Prices of food and what kind of food was discussed.

We want to thank Mr. Baldini who DJ'ed our 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Dance for Free.

Grill will be put together by Glenn.

Indian Pow-Wow- Discussion

Scamp and Rascle Bike Run- Recreation has been asked to man the rest stop at High Point State Park again for a $200.00 Donation- all in favor

Further Discussion- about who would be responsible for things at Montague Day.

Mad Science- Looking into a future program for later in the year.
