MEETING MINUTES AUGUST 16TH

MEMBERS PRESENT- DAVE GIBSON, MARY KOPETSKY, MEG SNYDER

Our thanks for those who came to participate and help Lou and Delores Avenetti and Miss Montage Danielle Dieckman.

Montague Day Opening Ceremony Discussed- U.S. Marines and a donated flag from Brian Van Wagner for the day that has flown over a war base in Afganistan.

Win Michael's band cost $100.00 (vote all in favor)
Howard Smith DJ for the Day $150.00 (vote all in favor)
84 West Band $200.00 (vote all in favor)
Symphonics Band $500.00 (Private Donation) (vote all in favor)

Zac Magic- (vote all in favor) waiting for proposal for cost apx $200.00

Lucky the Hobo- (donation from the Montague Grange) no cost to recreation.

Photographer- discussed

Porta-potties 2 will be ordered for Montague Day and the Classic Car show. (price at next meeting)

Pizza- The Montague Seniors will sell Pizza donation of sales to Montague Fire Dept.

Montague Day Tee-Shirts- The Montague Seniors have offered to volunteer selling of the tee shirts at Montague Day for Recreation cost will be 2 for $15.00

Parking was discussed- need volunteers to monitor parking

Volunteers were discussed- We need some more hands so anyone willing to help please let us know. Thank you.

Games- Tabled

Fall Soccer-Tabled waiting for information for sign ups.

Application for Temporary Food Vendors has been supplied from the Board of Health

Danielle Dieckman- Will be at Montague Day and will host 2 special tea parties with some young ladies who would like to join her. Sign ups will take place on Montague Day as space is limited.

Thank you letter was sent to Chris Jones, Public and Community Relations Manager, El Paso Corporation, Houston TX for their generous donation of $1000.00 to sponsor the Classic Car show on October 10th.

September 1st- Preschool Reading arts and crafts has been approved 1pm -1:45 pm the story will be "Froggy Goes to School" and there will be a painting arts and crafts frog project cost is free to Montague Pre-Schoolers.
